I hope that this finds you in great spirits!  Allow me to present to some and reintroduce to others one of the most unique opportunities ever developed for students – The Gifted Education Foundation aka Gifted (www.iamgifted.org).
Our mission is to produce first generation college graduates and marketplace leaders from low-income communities across America.
Gifted plans to fulfill its mission by training and developing students from Title I schools nationwide, while also increasing their access to colleges and careers.  Here is what Gifted promises as support for students chosen as scholars for the program:
1) First Priority on Scholarship and Financial Aid support in preparation for college
2) Guaranteed internship option with a power company while in college (5 Sectors: Corporate, Education, Social  Services, Technology and Healthcare)
3) Hands-On Coaching from our Life Development Coordinator(s) for 6 to 8 years
4) 90% chance of being hired by the company he/she interns with upon college graduation
5) Participation in residential summer and winter Leadership Institutes on college campuses
I am submitting this email to you in request for your support of Gifted.  We are currently accepting nominations for the 2013 Gifted Cohort.   You, as a community partner, hold a major and valuable role in this process!  Please go to this link http://iamgifted.org/nominate-a-student/ and begin the process of changing a student’s life!

Before you get started, here are a couple of noteworthy items:
  • Criteria for students to be nominated can be found on the following site: http://iamgifted.org/nominate-a-student/
  • Nomination process closes November 2, 2012 at 11:59pm
  • We will choose approximately 30-35 students for the 2013 Cohort.
  • Below is guidance on the type of individual or agency who can nominate a student as well as the corresponding (maximum) number of nominations permitted per nominator category:
- High Schools – 8 Nominations
- Community Organizations (Churches, Teen Centers, After School Programs, etc.) – 5  Nominations
- Individuals (Parent, Mentor, Coach, etc.) – 3 Nominations

Dear Friend,

Thank you for your interest in the 34 Ways Foundation!

This past year has been exciting for me and the foundation. Through our various programs, camps, and
activities, we have successfully reached out to various communities around the country. None of it would
be possible without the support of people like you who continually donate their resources and time to the
foundation. I would personally like to thank each and every one of you that has made this a great year for
the 34 Ways Foundation!

I would also like to acknowledge the strength and character of the people of New Orleans. This past year,
we held our annual Football Camp and Community Day at the New Orleans Saints facility. I found that so
many area businesses and individuals were willing to donate all that they could to assist our efforts. You
are all truly an inspiration to me!

This coming year is full of exciting events and programs. I’m very eager to get started. Look out for our
annual charity weekend in Miami, New Orleans, Lake Charles, and Memphis. You can check our events
